Yes. All of our fitters are Team Guardian and have undergone training on the installation of the Guardian Warm Roof system.

Each roof is different and there are many variables which can influence the price of a tiled conservatory roof which is why we are unable to offer an online price. We do however offer a free quotation in the comfort of your own home so the price we give is accurate and the price you will pay if you decide to proceed with an order. Yes. Work can not begin without applying for a building warrant for your Guardian roof. Part of this application requires elevation drawings which we organise on your behalf as well as applying for the building warrant. Once the roof is completed we inform the local council and request the completion certificate on your behalf.

Building Notice

In partnership with BlackArc Design we are able to produce your building warrant drawings within seven days. This means that apply for your building warrant is quick and easy. 

The Guardian Warm Roof system we use is pre fabricated in the factory so from start to finish a conservatory will generally take approximately three to five days to complete.

No. Planning permission is not usually required however building control is required. As part of your order we undertake all the necessary applications and ensure your new tiled Guardian roof is signed off by the local council.

Yes. The conversion of your conservatory from a glass or polycarbonate roof to a solid tiled and insulated roof is subject to current building regulations. To ensure your roof is up to the most current regulations, Building Control approval is needed. We arrange this on your behalf when you place the order with us.

No. Your existing roof was not designed to take the extra weight and could collapse under the strain of extra weight especially in areas of high snow loading or string winds. Secondly by adding a solid roof to your conservatory it is subject to building regulations which can not be met for insulation purposes and will not be signed off by building control. You could be forced to remove the roof and face a fine. 

There is a total of 125mm of solid Kingspan insulation in the Guardian Roof system. This comprises of 40mm Solid Kingspan, 25mm Solid Kingspan and 72mm insulated backed plasterboard which the plasterboard accounts for 12.5mm of this.

As part of our installation service we dispose of your old roof, glass or polycarbonate and window frames if these are being replaced also.
We protect the internal parts of your conservatory with floor covering and overlay with large waterproof sheets to prevent any rain water from damaging your floor. We aim to have your new tiled conservatory waterproofed by the end of day one.

This depends on your style and design of your conservatory. Most conservatories can have at least one. During your quotation visit our specialist will be able advise you on the number of roof windows possible.

We discuss your internal finish options at point of quotation and you have the choice of a plastered internal finish which is skimmed or we can finish the internal roof using tongue and grove boards. It is important to note that this is still a Guardian roof and not a clad over which is not accepted by building regulations.
